Tripartite MOU Signed to Drive China-To-ASEAN Regional Collaboration

KUALA LUMPUR, 17th December 2024 – Malaysia-China Summit Marks a Major Milestone in Cross-Border Economic Connectivity 

Communication 21 Media Group, the Global Confederation of Belt and Road Economic Cooperation (GC-BREC), and the ASEAN Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today at the Malaysia-China Summit 2024. The tripartite agreement solidifies a strategic collaboration under the China-To-ASEAN Initiative, aimed at fostering stronger industrial and commercial ties between China and the ASEAN region. 

The signing ceremony was held in the presence of key stakeholders, industry leaders, and government representatives, reflecting the commitment to strengthening cross-border economic connectivity. Representing the three organizations were: 

  • Dato’ Sri Erynna Abdul Rasyid, Deputy President of ACCI 
  • Dr. (h.c.) Benny Yeo, Executive Chairman (ASEAN) of GC-BREC 
  • Mr. Wilson Tay, Group CEO of Communication 21 Media Group 

A Strategic Move to Unite China and ASEAN Economies

The China-To-ASEAN Initiative provides a much-needed platform for Chinese industrial and commercial players to seamlessly enter the ASEAN market. Leveraging Communication 21 Media Group’s extensive experience and expertise, this collaboration will bridge Chinese businesses with ASEAN counterparts, unlocking immense opportunities for trade, technology transfer, and industrial innovation. 

Keynote Address

Speaking at the event, Dr. (h.c.) Benny Yeo, Founder of Communication 21 Media Group and Executive Chairman (ASEAN) of GC-BREC, emphasized the significance of this partnership:
