Strengthening China–Cambodia Cooperation Under the China-To-ASEAN Initiative

It was a great honour to welcome His Royal Highness Prince Naravong Norodom, Prince of Cambodia, to our office today for an in-depth and meaningful discussion on China–Cambodia business collaboration, under our China-To-ASEAN Initiative（中国至东盟倡议）.

Cambodia continues to emerge as a dynamic and attractive destination for regional investment, with its young workforce, strategic location within ASEAN, growing infrastructure, and strong openness to international trade and development. These strengths position Cambodia as an important bridge between China and Southeast Asia, offering long-term potential across manufacturing, trade, logistics, real estate, tourism, and emerging industries.

Our discussions focused on how to further strengthen practical cooperation between China and Cambodia, including identifying new business and investment opportunities that can benefit both countries while supporting Cambodia’s continued economic development.

We also discussed the importance of ensuring that Chinese enterprises and individuals enter and operate in Cambodia through proper, legal, and well-structured pathways. Through our collaboration with Lee & Partners, we are well-positioned to support compliant market entry, corporate structuring, regulatory alignment, and long-term operational readiness for Chinese businesses expanding into Cambodia.

In addition, we explored opportunities in the education sector, including potential collaboration with Bells Academic (Singapore) to support the expansion of international-standard education programmes into Cambodia — contributing to human capital development and long-term capacity building.

This visit reflects our broader commitment to building responsible, sustainable, and well-governed China–ASEAN business bridges, creating real value for governments, businesses, and communities across the region.
