Communication 21 and Multipro Sign Strategic Carbon Credit Collaboration Agreement

KUALA LUMPUR, 6 July 2025 — Communication 21 Media Group Sdn Bhd has entered into a strategic Collaboration Agreement with Multipro Resources Sdn Bhd to jointly explore, develop, and commercialise carbon credit projects across the BIMP-EAGA region (Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area), with future expansion across ASEAN.

The agreement was signed at Communication 21 Media Group’s headquarters in Menara Tan & Tan, Kuala Lumpur, between Pengiran Yura Kestaria Pg Md Yusuf, Chairman of Multipro Resources Sdn Bhd, representing a consortium that includes Securo Capital Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Multipro Resources Korea Ltd, and Multiprovest (M) Sdn Bhd; and Dr. (h.c.) Benny Yeo, Founder of Communication 21 Media Group Sdn Bhd.
This collaboration leverages Multipro’s access to strategic project sites and international carbon credit buyers, alongside Communication 21’s business connectivity platforms and cross-border facilitation capabilities under the ASEAN Connect Initiative.

The agreement outlines joint efforts in sourcing, registering, and marketing carbon credits through internationally recognised standards such as Verra’s Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). The partnership also includes coordination with landowners, buyers, and project financiers to support high-integrity climate initiatives.

The Collaboration Agreement will soon be transitioned to a designated associate of Communication 21 Media Group, which will be officially announced in due course. This appointed entity will lead the technical execution, validation, monitoring, and issuance of Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) for qualified projects.
Initial target sites include forest and coastal ecosystems in Brunei, Sarawak, Johor, North Maluku, and Mindanao — supporting ASEAN’s broader environmental sustainability and net-zero ambitions.
